Book of James

The Book of James

The Brook Family is embarking on a journey to study the Book of James for 8 weeks. It seems as though one of the most important questions to ask in this life is: "How do I live out my relationship with God in perilous times?" The Book of James will help answer this question and for this reason it is often called, "The Proverbs of the New Testament." Its practical wisdom teaches us how God matures us in the midst of trials- both personally and as a church.

This curriculum is a first for The Brook as it was filmed and developed by Brook teachers and creatives.

Here are a few things you'll need for each gathering:

  1. Devote yourself to Prayer. Ask God for a receptive heart to His Word. It's possible for one to become knowledgable with little to no application to real life. Prayer helps us become senstive to God's voice and gives us the strength to obey Him.
  2. Dowload each lesson study guide prior to each meeting.
  3. Designate a time and space where you can join the Zoom gathering with little to no interruptions. The studies will take place via our Real Community gatherings digitally. You can see days, links to Zoom gatherings, and times here.

We look forward to seeing God develop our character in these present circumstances! If you have any questions about anything related to this 8-week Bible study, email
