Praying to Jehovah Tsidkenu
Father, There is so much injustice around me. I don’t know what to do about all the wickedness going on in the world let alone the ways people have hurt me and others in my life. But you are the LORD our Righteousness! You will judge all evil and punish the oppressors. So do not hesitate in bringing justice and repentance to the wicked, Lord. Heal what is broken, and punish the evildoers before they can do more harm.
But Lord, I know that I am wicked too. I have hurt others, and more importantly I have sinned against you and offended the One who has only been good to me. I am unrighteous and you would be right to judge me. But you are my Righteousness! Jesus, thank you for taking the punishment of my evil acts and giving me your righteousness! Not only are you a Just God, you justify me! And now that you have given me your righteousness, please empower me with a passion to see your justice done in my life. Praise you Jehovah Tsidkenu! Amen.
