The Joy of Giving

Financial giving is part of our worship to God. It is an expression of our gratitude to God for his gracious provision in our lives. It’s also a recognition that all we have truly belongs to God.
The earth is the Lord’s and everything in it… (Psalm 24:1)
The Old Testament Scriptures calls God’s people to give 10 percent (tithe) of their income and everything above and beyond that would be considered an offering (Leviticus 27:30). The New Testament of the Bible takes the principal behind the percentage and calls the church to be people who give with radical and joyful generosity (2 Corinthians 9:6-7).
Our challenge to The Brook family is to make giving 10% of your gross income to the church a goal in giving. From there, we believe that God calls you to prayerfully explore ways to give above and beyond (more on all this in a later post).
When you give to The Brook, you can be confident that we strive to manage every dollary with integrity and leverage every dollar for God’s kingdom work.
Your generosity helps fund pastoral and staff salaries, church planting, mission work in our community, The Brook kids curriculum, hospitality needs, special events, global missions, building/facility expenses, and more.
We invite you to give and watch how God provides for you in your life in a variety of ways, for the Bible says,
And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
(Philippians 4:19)
